It’s a chance for driven professionals to grow, learn, and make a real difference.If you are interested in exploring the possibilities We Want to Talk to You!The Difference You Make:Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is looking for a VP to join the Export & Agency Finance (EAF) team in the US, with a primary focus on Latin America and Multilateral Agencies (MLAs).This role offers exposure to complex international transactions across LatAm markets, working closely with clients, multilaterals, and internal teams globally.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the origination, structuring, and execution of EAF transactions, with a focus on Latin America and MLA-backed financings (e.g., IDB, IFC, CAF).Build and maintain relationships with borrowers, sponsors, exporters, corporates, sovereign and sub-sovereign entities, financial institutions, ECAs, and multilateral agencies.Identify financing opportunities and develop tailored solutions to meet client needs.Managing transactions end-to-end, from initial pitch through closing, including preparation of presentations, term sheets, and credit materials.Build and maintain financial models, including cash flow analysis and profitability metrics.Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Coverage, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Markets, Syndication) across multiple geographies.Support client relationship management, including pitchbooks and participating in client meetings, particularly in LatAm markets.Lead credit approval processes, due diligence, and transaction documentation.Lead transaction execution from mandate through financial close.Prepare and negotiate term sheets, mandate letters, financing agreements, intercreditor agreements, and related documentation.Monitor portfolio performance and stay up to date on market trends, MLAs, ECAs, and geopolitical developments impacting the region.What You Bring:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or related field6+years of relevant experience in structured finance, export & agency finance, project finance, infrastructure finance or development financeExperience with ECA and/or Multilateral Agency financing structuresStrong financial modeling and analytical skillsAbility to operate effectively in a cross-border, multicultural environmentProfessional fluency in Spanish (written and spoken), given the role’s focus on Spanish-speaking clients and stakeholdersStrong communication skills in English​Preferred QualificationsExperience working on Latin American transactions or clientsExisting network of relationships within ECAs, multilateral agencies, corporates, sponsors, and financial institutions.Exposure to MLAs such as IDB, IFC, CAF, or World Bank GroupBackground in infrastructure, energy, or industrial sectorsPrior experience in Investment Banking and Structured FinanceCertifications:No Certifications listed for this job.It Would Be Nice For You To Have:Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.Work Authorization & Sponsorship:Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring employer sponsorship to commence employment.What Else You Need To Know:The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week.
