Job Title: Solution Architect(Java)Location: Tysons Corner, VAEmployment Type: Full-TimeCheck below to see if you have what is needed for this opportunity, and if so, make an application asap.Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to design and lead the development of scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications within a large-scale enterprise healthcare environment.This role is responsible for defining architecture, guiding engineering teams, and driving modernization initiatives by transforming legacy systems into microservices-based, cloud-enabled solutions.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, distributed systems, and AWS, along with a proven track record of delivering high-performance enterprise applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable, cloud-native architectures using microservices principlesLead modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy systems to distributed architecturesDefine and develop RESTful APIs and service communication patternsProvide hands-on technical leadership and guidance to development teamsEnsure system performance, scalability, reliability, and securityDesign data flow and integration patterns across multiple systemsImplement best practices for observability, logging, and monitoringCollaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, DevOps, and product stakeholdersConduct architecture reviews and ensure adherence to standards and best practicesSupport cloud infrastructure design and deployment strategiesRequired Skills & Experience10+ years of experience in software development and architectureStrong proficiency in Java (11 or higher) and Spring BootProven experience with microservices architecture and distributed systemsHands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, IAM, compute services)Experience designing and building RESTful APIsKnowledge of containerization technologies such as DockerFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines xhyhwjd and DevOps practicesStrong understanding of system scalability, performance, and fault toleranceExperience working in Agile development environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka or similar messaging systems)Exposure to enterprise integration patternsExperience in healthcare or regulated environmentsFamiliarity with security standards such as HIPAA or NISTKnowledge of distributed caching technologiesEducationBachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
